Overview

Luma Café, a modern lifestyle-driven coffee brand, approached us with a clear ambition: to create more than just a café — a space that feels like a natural extension of everyday life. The vision was to design an experience where customers don’t just visit for coffee, but stay for the atmosphere — a place that feels like a third space between home and work. The challenge was to translate the abstract idea of light, warmth, and calm into a physical and digital environment that feels intuitive, welcoming, and effortlessly memorable. From spatial design to brand identity and customer journey, every element was crafted to work in harmony — creating a café experience that feels less like a transaction, and more like a moment.

Our approach was rooted in the belief that great hospitality design should make comfort feel effortless — warm, intuitive, and almost invisible. For Luma Café, the goal was to translate the idea of light as an experience into a space that feels natural, calming, and emotionally engaging.

Our approach was rooted in the belief that great hospitality design should make comfort feel effortless — warm, intuitive, and almost invisible. For Luma Café, the goal was to translate the idea of light as an experience into a space that feels natural, calming, and emotionally engaging.

Designing the Café Experience Core

We designed Luma as a space that behaves like a third place — not just a café, but an extension of home and work. Intuitive spatial flow from entrance to ordering Clear visual hierarchy guiding customer movement Seamless transition between takeaway and dine-in experiences The environment responds naturally to customer needs without requiring conscious effort.

//01

Brand Identity System

We developed a layered identity system to give Luma a distinct and memorable presence. A minimalist logo inspired by light and glow Warm, neutral color palette with soft contrasts Typography that feels clean, modern, and approachable Cohesive application across packaging, menus, and signage Each element plays a role in reinforcing a calm, premium atmosphere.

Atmosphere & Sensory Design

We designed the café to engage multiple senses while maintaining subtlety. Natural and ambient lighting to reflect the “Luma” concept Soft acoustics to reduce noise without losing energy Material selection (wood, stone, fabric) to create warmth Signature visual moments (feature wall / light installation) The result is a space that feels alive, yet शांत — vibrant, yet calm.

Every hospitality project carries layered complexity — especially when brand identity, customer experience, and operational efficiency must align seamlessly. For Luma Café, the primary challenge was translating the abstract concept of “light and warmth” into a tangible, immersive, and commercially viable space.

Real-Time Service Flow

Designing a layout that supports fast-paced peak-hour service without compromising atmosphere. Preventing congestion near the counter .Maintaining smooth staff workflow .Ensuring takeaway and dine-in customers don’t conflict .The challenge was balancing operational speed with a calm customer experience.

//01

Brand Trust & Emotional Connection

How do we build emotional loyalty beyond just good coffee? Creating a memorable first impression. Designing a visual identity that communicates warmth and quality .Ensuring consistency across signage, packaging, and digital platforms .The goal was to make Luma feel intentional, not generic.

//02

Physical & Digital Experience Integration

Ensuring continuity between the in-store experience and digital presence. Online ordering that reflects the in-store aesthetic .Social media visuals aligned with interior design .Loyalty systems that feel seamless, not intrusive. The challenge was crafting one cohesive ecosystem rather than separate touchpoints.

//03

Spatial & Technical Constraints

Designing within real-world limitations. Limited floor space Lighting placement restrictions. Budget-conscious material selection. Acoustic control in open-plan layouts .The task was to create a premium feel within practical constraints.
